Some Konami IDs are invalid for MGO beta, say US gamers

According to this IGN report, some American gamers are complaining that their Konami IDs are only nine characters long, as opposed to the 12 needed to unlock the Metal Gear Online beta.
US punters had to pre-order MGS4 to get access to the MGO test, so, as you can imagine, this is unlikely to go down well at all. The MGO beta was made available for download in America yesterday and is schedule to begin on April 21.
