Soft Body doesn't sound at all like your typical twin-stick shooter game
Soft Body is an action-puzzle game with twin-stick shooter controls out this year, and it looks rather interesting.
Developed by one-man team Zeke Virant, the PlayStation 4 and PS Vita title tasks players with controlling two "gooey snakes" at the same time with each analog stick. Players will use the snakes to paint a continually changing world while dodging bullets and popping enemies.
It contains two single-player modes: Soft Mode and Hard Mode.
Soft Mode contains a smooth difficulty curve with levels "flowing into each other visually and aurally." The mode isn't the same as the typical easy mode, but it will get players used to controlling both snakes at the same time before tackling Hard Mode.
With Hard Mode, players will find a "stoically difficult, unforgiving, but fair and rewarding" mode, where players will have control of both snake bodies at the same time, all the time.
If either body is popped by an enemy or a projectile, the player will need to restart from the beginning of the level.
Soft Body is slated for release later this year and supports Cross Buy. More information on the game is available through the PlayStation Blog.
