Slide reveals Words with Friends coming to Xbox One

A slide on the Xbox 360 dashboard seems to have revealed that Zynga's tile-based word game, Words with Friends, is going to release on Microsoft' next-gen console: Xbox One.

The Xbox 360 home screen has an Xbox One tile; opening it takes you to an app which has all kinds of information about Microsoft's new console. There's a "What it does" tab in there which loads a bunch of slides highlighting the console's features like TV viewing, mutitasking and Skype. Words with Friends can be seen as part of the "Multitasking is a Snap" slide which shows a series of apps pinned to the console's user interface.

Words with Friends is a word game developed by Zynga with Friends for Android, iOS and Facebook. Players can build words crossword-puzzle style with an opponent in a manner similar to the classic board game Scrabble.

We'll let you know if either Microsoft or Zynga provides us with an confirmation that it's indeed in development for Xbox One.

Thanks, Polygon.
