Skyward Collapse Nihon no Mura expansion hits beta
Skyward Collapse gains a third faction in its upcoming Nohin no Mura expansion, which is now in beta for those who pre-order.
The Japanese join the Greek and Norse factions in the asymmetrical strategy god sim, which is tough as all get out.
The Japanese faction is very strong militarily, and there gods are more aggressive than the other factions' deities. Each Japanese god has three unique creatures instead of god tokens, which makes for quite a different play style - on both sides.
Nihon no Mura also adds hamlets - non-combative, non-factional villages that can be built in the remains of the fallen towns of either faction. If you tend the hamlets, they'll grow into culture resources and allow you to expand your town's reach.
Finally, if you gather enough culture and have a supply of sunstone, you can build a Luminith Tower, a new victory condition.
The expansion will go for $3 at launch but is 10% during beta; you can pick it up directly through Arcen to start playing now. Note that you'll need a base cop of Skyward Collapse, which now offers trading cards through Steam.
