Skull and Bones isn't even out yet and it's already getting a TV series
Ubisoft's pirate adventure game Skull and Bones isn't even out yet and there's already a TV series in the works based on the title.
The film and television arm of Ubisoft is working with Atlas Entertainment to develop a series based on its Skull and Bones property.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the TV drama is set on the Indian Ocean during the 1700s as the "golden age of piracy" is starting to wind down.
Skull and Bones will be executive produced by Amanda Segel (Person of Interest, The Mist), who will also pen the pilot.
American Hustle producers Andy Horwitz and Richard Suckle also will executive produce for Atlus Entertainment.
Ubisoft entertainment director of development Danielle Kreinik and the company's head of film and television, Jason Altman, will also executive produce.
A release date for the series and information on where it will air wasn't provided.
The game Skull and Bones doesn't have a release date either, but it's expected on PC, PS4, and Xbox One a some point this year.
