Souls-like Sinner: Sacrifice for Redemption gets October release date
Following a delay in the first half of the year, Dark Star's Sinner: Sacrifice for Redemption has now been given a final release date.
Sinner: Sacrifice for Redemption is a boss gauntlet game inspired by Dark Souls and its ilk, and was first unveiled over a year ago.
The game's setup is simple; the protagonist must atone for their sins by fighting bosses based on the seven deadly sins. The game's main interesting mechanic is that unlike typical RPGs, you start off strong but become weaker over time.
Before each fight, you'll be asked to part ways with some of your stats and equipment, which is a new layer I haven't seen before in the Souls-like RPG subgenre.
The game's new trailer reveals an October 18 release date on PS4, Xbox One, and Switch. Sinner: Sacrifice for Redemption is also coming to PC later this year, but the PC version will be available first through Discord as part of the platform's First on Discord initiative.
It's due for release on Steam sometime after that.
