SingStar has 1.5 million new users since going free-to-play

SingStar has added 1.5 million new users since going free-to-play in October 2012. According to studio director Dave Ranyard, speaking at the Develop conference, only 2 million users had been attached to the game in the five years on the market since before the switch. Per Ranyard, 6% of those who download the free app on PS3 purchase premium downloads of songs - even a handful have downloaded over 1,000 titles. Thanks, Gamasutra.
