Siegfried returns in Soulcalibur 6 - see him in action
Fan favourite and Soulcalibur series staple Siegfried is back in Soulcalibur 6 - and he comes packing his enormous sword as per usual, of course.
Siegfried has been revealed via a new trailer released by publisher Bandai Namco. Siegfried is a pretty strong staple of the Soulcalibur series, having appeared in every game in the series - that's five previous Calibur entries and before that Soul Edge, the first title in the series. He's alongside Nightmare, Mitsurugi and Cervantes in that - those four are the only characters to have appeared in every game, and now three of the four are confirmed for SC6 - it's just legendary pirate Cervantes to go now.
As can be seen in the story trailer above, Siegfried features his iconic armor and sword once again in SC6, though this time he's sporting slightly longer hair and a scarf. Namco sent over a little blurb about his character arc in the game's story:
"After losing to Kilik and his comrades in the form of Nightmare, Siegfried awoke in an unfamiliar place and he is now unable to free himself from the unforgiving memories of his time spent as the cursed sword's puppet. The memory of having killed his own father is haunting him. His true nightmare has only just begun…Full of regrets, he is looking for redemption and he desperately wants to free himself from the cursed sword's grasp!"
Siegfried brings the total number of Soulcalibur 6 characters to 10 now, with this announcement following on from the exciting confirmation that this game's guest character will be Geralt of Rivia from The Witcher series. There's all-new characters, of course, the first announced being Groh.
