Shovel Knight Kickstarted by Wayforward veterans

Yacht Club Games, comprised of ex-Wayforward developers, has taken to Kickstarter to in order to fund its new 8-bit actioner, Shovel Knight.
The project page notes it is "a sweeping classic action adventure game" with an "8-bit retro aesthetic."
It stars a small knight who must defeat the evil Enchantress and save his lost beloved while doling out punishment to ne'er do wells with his multipurpose ShovelBlade.
So far, $9,723 has been raised towards the $75,000 goal, with 29 days to go. Check it out through the link, and watch the video below.
Shovel Knight is currently PC only, but the developers are hoping to release it on Wii U and 3DS and on as many platforms as possible in the future.
