Shots - Square releases assets for Nier

Square Enix has sent over some shots from Nier for PS3 and Xbox 360.
In Nier, you play as the game's namesake has he sets out on a quest to discover a cure for his daughter, who is infected with the Black Scawl virus.
He not only has allies on his side during his journey, but a mysterious book too, and he uses both to fight some really odd looking creatures.
Developed by cavia Inc., the action-RPG's release date has not been announced, but it's expected sometime this spring.
