Shanghai "big loser" in Kane & Lynch 2

Sounds as though Shanghai's going to get taken through its paces in the next Kane & Lynch, with the pair heading back with a bomb.

"It's kind of sad for Shanghai," Karsten Lund told Destructoid, "because the city is the big loser in this story."

Lund didn't elaborate on exactly how the dirty duo will ruin China's major city, but did add that the setting's contrasts were a key plus for Dog Days.

"We went there, and it's not all bad," he said. "It's actually a beautiful place. Again, this is our version, this is our perception. But I think we stayed very true with how you perceive it when you go there. And the fun part of being in Shanghai is that it's so diverse; it's so new and old at the same time, so rich, so poor.

"Just from block to block it changes. You can go from ruins to shiny skyscapers in the distance of ten meters. So I guess Kane and Lynch hang out in some of the places sometimes."

The sequel's out for PC, 360 and PS3 on August 24 in the US and August 27 in the EU. Check out the latest trailer here.
