Shadowverse: Temporary cards and gems explained
Shadowverse received a new update this week that introduces new temporary cards and gems which you can earn from playing matches.
Temporary gems can be earned by playing matches, regardless if you win or lose. You can then exchange these gems for temporary cards, which are very similar to regular cards except that they can't be animated with seer's globes or liquefied.
These new cards have an orange number in the top right corner, so they're easily identified in your Collection. It's not yet clear how long the temporary cards will be available, though most players have guessed that it'll be until the end of the current season.
Shadowverse - how to get temporary gems and cards
You'll earn around 10 gems for each loss and 20 gems for each win, so you can rack up a fair number of them quite quickly, depending on your skills.
Between June 27 and July 25, players will be gifted free card packs and sleeves if they log in for 10 days in a row. If you log in between June 21- July 31, you'll also receive seven challenge tickets.
Players will be able to trade their gems and will find Legendary temporary cards from all card packs, including those from Steel Rebellion. You can use them to build decks and play matches, and will help you on your way to crafting Legendary cards.
For new players, this will give you a taste of what having powerful Legendary cards is like, in the hope that you'll stay to play in this massive JCCG.
As you build your deck around a Legendary card, it will give new players a chance to try out other build styles before committing Vials and time to build a solid deck. It also lets more experienced players try their hand at a new build with little lost in the process.
Cygames has said that more information about temporary cards will be revealed shortly, so check back for news soon.
