Shadowrun Returns headed to tablets later today

The long-awaited mobile port of Shadowrun Returns rolls out on Android tablets and iPad later today.

Harebrained Schemes announced a September 26 release date via a Kickstarter update today; depending on what region you're in, one or both versions may have already unlocked, while others will have to wait a few hours as the international date line trundles on.

When it goes live, you can grab it on iTunes or Google Play for $10 or regional equivalent.

"When Jordan created the original world of Shadowrun, he didn’t predict that people would one day interact with that world on touch-screen computers more powerful than the one that took us to the moon," Harebrained said.

"It is extremely gratifying that the enthusiasm for this game setting has stood the test of time and that we are now able to deliver it on mobile devices to a new generation of gamers."
