Shadow Warrior dev is teasing new project reveal
We're getting closer to seeing what's next from the team behind Shadow Warrior.
Shadow Warrior developer Flying Wild Hog has shared some exciting news. On the game's official Twitter account, the developer posted a message saying that it's working on the teaser trailer for its next project.
"Teaser trailer filming in progress. Quiet please!" it reads. Although the team has kept the account fairly active over the years, this is its most significant piece of news in a while, and is a good indication that it's finally ready to talk about its next game.
Your guess is as good as ours there, but the lighting tone makes it look like it could be a Shadow Warrior sequel. The timing of this tweet, however, is curious. Flying Wild Hog only ever worked with publisher Devolver Digital, and its sister label Good Shepherd.
Considering that Devolver's own E3-style show is scheduled for next weekend, we're inclined to believe the studio's next game will be amongst the reveals.
Shadow Warrior 2 launched back in 2016 for PC, and later came to PS4 and Xbox One. It was about as well received as its predecessor, but caught a bit of flak for relying too heavily on loot and RNG-based mechanics. Nevertheless, the two games offer compelling first-person action and an amusing story.
