September 7 Brink date is "speculative," says Bethesda

Bethesda's told VG247 the September 7 date recently given for Brink is purely "speculative".

The date for the Splash Damage shooter mentioned in a sweepstake the publisher is doing for the game. But Bethesda says the game's still due for "fall".

"Often times retailers will assign a release date for a game that falls within the game's announced launch window," said a rep.

"While we have announced that Brink is due out in fall 2010, we have yet to announce an official release date for the game. Until we have announced the release date, all other dates can be considered speculative."

Well there you have it, then. Fall. For PS3, 360 and PC.
