Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice reviews round-up, all the scores
Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice is less than 24 hours away, and you may even get to read a few reviews before it's out.
Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice is From Software's latest big game. Sekiro trades the RPG roots of the Soulsborne series for a single protagonist-driven, action-focused approach.
While you won't be creating your own character, or investing points into different attributes, you'll be spending most of your time mastering Sekiro's parrying techniques, and posture mechanic. Sekiro's combat is unique in that it requires skilful execution by rewarding players who break their enemy's posture with a one-hit-kill, or in the case of bosses, one that deals massive damage.
This is going to be one of its most decisive aspects, as many will have to unlearn years of Soulsborne muscle memory.
Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice's publisher Activision, as you may recall, initially said it won't be sending out review code ahead of the game's launch.
Though VG247 and many other outlets did end up receiving the game before launch, the lead-up time wasn't very long. What this means is that you'll probably see a few unscored reviews today.
With that out of the way, jump on below to read the reviews we've spotted today. Scores, as ever, are out of ten unless otherwise noted.
