Sega debunks 360 Shogun 2 GAME listing
Despite a listing popping up on UK retailer Game's website, Sega's told VG247 a 360 version of Total War: Shogun 2 isn't in the works.
The listing currently remains on the retailer's website, and is for a limited edition.
The release for it is March 15, the same day the PC SKU launches worldwide (thanks, ShogunDarius).
But despite GAME's assertion, Sega's told us there's no 360 version on the way.
"As far as I'm concerned there is no 360 SKU of Total War: Shogun 2," a rep told us.
Something may not be happening as far as Shogun 2 is concerned, but Creative Assembly has said in the past it is looking at bringing Total War to consoles.
"At some point. Maybe. I don’t know," said lead artist Kevin McDowell last month when asked about it.
"We have actually solved the problem with controlling Total War games using a control pad anyway."
However, Creative Assembly's online manager Mark O'Connell told VG247 last year it wouldn't bring the series to consoles unless it could "ensure that we could replicate the entire” PC experience of the series “along with intuitive controls and interface.”
Shogun 2 takes place in Feudal Japan during the 16th Century, where the country has now broken into “many warring clans”, having once been a unified government.
