Second Life: Linden Lab CEO departs company
Second Life developer Linden Lab has lost its CEO Rod Humble after the parting ways with the firm.
It follows my investigation into the state of Second Life today, with insight from many gamers who have stuck with it for all of its ten-year lifespan.
Humble posted his departure notice on Facebook today. It reads, "It's been a great 3 years! All my thanks to my colleagues at Linden Lab and our wonderful customers I wish you the very best for the future and continued success! I am starting up a company to make Art, Entertainment and unusual things! More on that in a few weeks!"
Humble's work-history includes The Sims 2, The Sims 3, EverQuest and more. He became Linden Lab's CEO in January 2011.
We'll have more on this as it comes.
