Sea of Thieves will launch two expansions this summer
In the wake of Hungering Deep, Sea of Thieves will feature not one, but two expansions.
Sea of Thieves may have only launched in March, but Rare is clearly committed to new content. During its E3 presser, Microsoft announced two unique expansions that are slated to arrive this summer.
The game, which has been played by four million people so far, has been criticised for a lack of content - after a few days it feels like you're out of things to do. Hopefully these expansions will address this issue. The Hungering Deep just launched, but more updates are on the way.
In a new, appropriately tongue-in-cheek trailer - which has a very 'Rare' tune underneath it, a fortune teller teases new information to the player. Among the details are new lands to explore, undead ship crews to fight, and - of course - booty to loot.
The Forsaken Shore will give players new lands to explore: "a place of fire and ash, where darkness will consume all". Sounds pleasant enough, right? There will be new enemies to battle on these shores, apparently. We're less clear on what the Cursed Sails update will bring, but we're guessing there will be ghosts - maybe even some ghouls - involved.
Sea of Thieves: Cursed Sails arrives in July. Forsaken Shores will launch in August.
