Sea of Thieves launch trailer shows a pirate's life full of pigs, skeletons, sailing and booty

You will soon be able to live the life of a pirate in Sea of Thieves. Without the scurvy, stinky shipmates, and syphilis, obviously.

A launch trailer for Rare's Sea of Thieves has been released, and it gives you small glimpses of what you'll be doing in the game.

From what it shows, expect to be chased by skeletons, meet strangers in your various travels, and try to catch a pig.

If you weren't a participant in the alphas, closed betas, stress testing, or last week's surprise open beta, you can get a head start thanks to a few things we learned during our sessions.

The Stash of Captain Bones quest is your introduction to Sea of Thieves, and it opens the door to all treasure map quests. It should help get you started at least.

Then, you can move on to more of what we learned during beta testing. This post provides plenty of tips on sailing, treasure, combat and the fun-sounding puke bucket weapon in Sea of Thieves. Who hasn't wanted to use a puke bucket on someone? Maybe it's just me.

Sea of Thieves will be ready to set sail next week on Windows PC and Xbox One come March 20.
