Sea of Thieves' free Lost Treasures update is now available
The latest free content update for Sea of Thieves, Lost Treasures, is now available.
Lost Treasures is now available for all Sea of Thieves players on Xbox One, Windows 10 PC and Xbox Game Pass.
You can expect a news checkpoint system that will help you progress through Tall Tales, Daily Bounties, and events.
Tall Tales are narrative-driven adventures which "delve into the stories" of various people and places in the game. Nine make up the Shores of Gold sequence, while the other two were made available in update The Seabound Soul and Heart of Fire.
These adventures can be played at any time, and the latest update adds tooltips on the map to show you where to start off. Checkpoints will allow you to play at your own pace, and there will be Tall Tales Retold time-limited events in June with new rewards.
With the Lost Treasures update comes Daily Bounties. You can check the What's New messages to see what the challenges are for that day. The bounties feature mini-objectives and goals that may have you find various types of treasure, traveling to a specific location or fighting enemies.
You can also expect some weekly and one-off events every Friday during this update. This includes a boost from the Fort Night event, which increases the returns on all Stronghold treasures taken from Skeleton Forts.
The Reaper's Rewards event will offer prizes such as new emotes. All you have to do is fill the quotas of Reaper's Chests, Reaper's Bounties, and Reaper's Bones Emissary Flags delivered to The Reaper's Hideout.
There's also the Blighted Bonus which brings some State of Decay to the world which finds you taking possession of the Blighted Flag, Sails, Hull, and Figurehead.
The Hunter's Haul fishing event will also make a return during the Lost Treasures update, with Ancient Coins up for grabs to spend in the Pirate Emporium. In the store, you can expect a full Ruby Splashtail Ship Set and Splashtail Monarch cosmetics.
