SCEA not concerned over Wii U headstart, PS4 games "are in development"

Sony Worldwide Studios US boss Scott Rhode has said the company isn't worried over Wii U's headstart over it in the next-gen stakes.

We've been told PS4 is set to arrive by the start of 2014. Nintendo's previously confirmed Wii U will launch this holiday season.

"Not at all. That's the simple answer," when asked of the possibility by Joystiq.

"In very similar fashion to the way I'm talking about game development. We have a very strong vision in what we believe we're gonna do for the next generation. And we're not talking about it at all yet."

Rhode added; "The reality is let's build a great machine. And we'll talk about it then."

In a separate interview with GameTrailers, Rhode confirmed that next-gen titles were being made at Sony.

"We’re not talking about when the machine is coming out, but I think anyone on the planet knows that, of course, games are in development."

On the lack of a next-gen unveil this year at E3 from Sony, Rhode continued: "It’s just something that we didn’t feel was important to bring up this year."
