Samsung to manufacture PS Vita CPU
According to Andriasang's translation of a Semiconductor Industry News report, Samsung will supply the PS Vita's CPU.
The site also reiterates earlier reports that the chip will be produced using a 45 nanometer process, as are those used in the slim models of both the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
The two electronics companies have a strong working relationship, with a joint LCD manufacturing facility in Korea among other collaborations.
Sony is yet to set a release date for the new handheld, although it's expected to reach Japan before the end of the year, with international launch to follow.
