SaGa Scarlet Grace trailer wakes series from decade-long hiatus

It's been more than ten years since we got an all-new SaGa game, but the drought times are almost over.

SaGa Scarlet Grace was highlighted at yesterday's PlayStation TGS 2015 briefing, with word that it's headed to Vita in 2016.

This is exciting news for series fans as by the time it drops it will have been 12 years since the last core series entry, Unlimited Saga.

Despite producing over a dozen games the SaGa series isn't very well recognised in the west. The first few series were released in North America under the title Final Fantasy Legend, which is kind of funny as Squaresoft's intent was to make an RPG series which would be different from its other offerings. Almost none of the games ever made it to Europe and a chunk of them never left Japan.

For those who like challenge and open-world JRPGs, though, the SaGa series can't be beaten. It's great to see it back on its feet; here's hoping a western release is on the cards. Take a look at the trailer below.
