Runic has "great Torchlight MMO ideas,” but can't commit just yet

Runic CEO Max Schaefer has said the firm still has plenty of ideas for a Torchlight MMO, but at present, the firm is busy working on Torchlight II at the moment.

Speaking with RPS, Schaefer said: “We’re not saying we’re gonna do [the MMO] next because we don’t want to be locked into something and disappoint people if it turns out we get to the end of this and really what we should be doing is an expansion or another platform. We want to have that flexibility.

"We’re a small company. We’re 30 people, and we can only really do one thing at a time. So we want to have the flexibility to pick what we want to make, that our fans are asking for, and make the decision based on that.”

Back in September, Perfect World had the Torchlight MMO scheduled or either a late 2012 or early 2013 release; however, at this time doesn't seem to be definite release window anytime soon.

Maybe once Torchlight II is done and dusted.
