Rumour - New Midnight Club was in the works, team now dismantled

According to a report  from Joystiq, a new Midnight Club game was in development at Rockstar San Diego, but was subsequently swept under the rug.

Sources told the site that there has been an uncertain future for the series since two senior figures at the studio, Jay Panek and Mark Garone, were fired from the studio after the release of the last game in the series, Midnight Club: Los Angeles.

Other major people also walked from the studio after the handling of MC:LA, and didn't want to be a part of the development of Red Dead Redemption.

Since then, the Midnight Club team has slowly been dismantled, raising fears the series maybe finished overall.

It comes as, on Saturday, the spouses of several Rockstar San Diego employees wrote an open letter, which accused the house that the Houser brothers built of poor working conditions.
