Rumour: Dead Space 2 features necromorph versus "soldiers" multiplayer
A Gamestop conference yesterday apparently dropped details on a Necromorphs versus "soldiers" multiplayer mode for Dead Space 2.
This GamerNode report (thanks, Joystiq) says the mode will consist of "deathmatch-style combat" and will be one of several multiplayer modes included in the game early next year.
The piece also claims that pre-orders will come with a free download of Dead Space: Ignition. If you pre-order it at GameStop, you'll allegedly get another bonus: a rivet gun.
None of this is confirmed, obviously, but we've known for some time that Dead Space 2 would include multiplayer.
The last mention of it was back in June, when EA boss John Riccitiello said the game's online systems would be "innovative".
Online multiplayer-related news was out on the sequel as far back as November last year.
