Ruiner reviews round-up, all the scores
Ruiner is finally out, but what did critics think of this top-down cyberpunk shooter?
After it was unveiled last year, little else has quite matched the cyberpunk Hotline Miami style Ruiner is gunning for. The game follows a psychopathic hero who seeks his kidnapped brother by carving a bloody path through security guards, gangs, and even robots in 2091 Rengkok.
Our own Matt Martin played Ruiner earlier this year, and discovered a game which was challenging, fast-paced, and richly cathartic once you figured out the combos. Naturally however, it wouldn't be everyone's cup of tea, which is why it was so important to double-check the latest reviews.
Ruiner just launched today for PC and consoles, and so far the consensus is that it's good, but likely won't reinvent the cyberpunk genre. All the same, it could be worth checking out, and we'd love to hear your feedback in the comments.
