Ruined King: A League of Legends Story is Riot's next story-driven, single-player game

Riot Games has revealed the first title from its new Riot Forge label.

Ruined King: A League of Legends Story is an upcoming single-player title set in the League universe. In development from Airship Synicate, best known for its work on Darksiders Genesis, Ruined King is in the work for both PC and console.

The trailer, which was revealed during tonight's Game Awards 2019, focuses on Bilgewater - League of Legends' pirate region.

"Set after the events of Burning Tides, players will take control of LoL champions and explore the bustling city of Bilgewater and the mysterious Shadow Isles in a game for the first time," reads its synopsis.

"Featuring fan favorite champions, innovative turn-based combat, and beautiful art direction along with brand new surprises and plenty of poros, Ruined King: A League of Legends Story advances the stories of many champions in the LoL Universe and offers an exciting new way to experience the World of Runeterra."
