Rogue Company is the new game from Paladins and Smite maker, will support cross-play and cross-progression
Hi-Rez Studios has unveiled Rogue Company, its latest project.
Rogue Company is a 5v5, third-person, class-based shooter/melee hybrid. Although it was announced on last night's Nintendo Direct, the game is also coming to PC, PS4 and Xbox One, alongside Switch at some point in 2020.
Alongside the reveal, Hi-Rez Studios confirmed that Rogue Company supports cross-platform progression and matchmaking, which is in line with the rest of the publisher's catalogue, such as Smite and Paladins.
Unlike those games, however, Rogue Company has more of a stylised-real-world look, ditching the fantasy motifs of Paladin and Smite. Little has been revealed about the game so far, but we do know it'll allow players to customise their characters and weapons.
Hi-Rez will show off Rogue Company over the next few weeks, starting with character reveals later this month. Before the end of the year, we'll also learn about the game's world, game modes and weapons.
In the meantime, you can sign up for an alpha test on the Rogue Company official site.
