Rocket League to get stat-tracking and painted items
Rocket League developer Psyonix has revealed another thing included with the game's big upcoming June patch.
That's a new system that adds special attributes to certain rare drops. These could be earned through normal play, but you only discover an attribute when you earn the item associated with it.
These items are split into two categories, Painted and Certified. Painted items have unique colours not found on any other piece. Painted wheels and toppers will be the first to get added to the pool. Discovering these Painted variants will unlock one from a set of named colours.
Certified items come with a sats tracker that, when equipped, keeps record of a particular statistic as you play. Each time can track one statistic. These work only online, though.
This is all part of other updates coming to Rocket League's item system, details of which will be revealed next week.
