Rocket League gets a spooky free update this month
Free Halloween DLC is coming to ... Rocket League?
It's that time of year again: pumpkins, bats, witches, candy, people complaining about how early Christmas decorations go up - and, of course, holiday-themed game updates.
To our surprise, Rocket League is one of the first titles to get in on Halloween. Although vehicular sports may not be an obvious subject for a spooky makeover, according to the PlayStation Blog Psyonix just loves the holiday too much to let it pass unmarked.
The developer is adding a number of Halloween-themed customisations to the game as of October 18. They'll be totally free; you'll find them in post-match item drops, win or lose. Be on the lookout for:
- “Calavera” Antenna
- “Candy Corn” Rocket Trail
- “Carriage” Wheels
- “Fuzzy Brute” Antenna
- “Fuzzy Vampire” Antenna
- “Pumpkin” Topper
The free update will follow within a week of the $4 Revenge of the Battle-Cars DLC.
