RIFT's Spoils of War event kicks off today

Trion Worlds is set to release a new patch for RIFT on May 10, but to hold players over until then, the developers are holding an event between today and May 9.

Called "Spoils of War," the event is an epilogue to the River of Souls event which ran last month, according to MMORPG.

After stopping Alsbeth and her ne'er-do-wells, there is suddenly a bunch of tainted treasure falling from the sky and rifts are popping up all over the place more often than usual.

The event tasks players with four daily quests which will have them investigating the strange, falling treasures. Players must gather golden coins present in the capital cities along with dragon eggshells places around the game world.

The coins and eggshells can be tuned in for containers which hold a variety of stuff which will likely be enjoyed by all such as: achievements, rare artifacts, and a awesome "Gritty Kitty" pet.
