Rhythm Thief & The Emperor's Treasure is making the jump from 3DS to iOS in free-to-play form.
According to Joystiq's auto-translate of a Sega Japan announcement, the game will be free but have some sort of premium content available for purchase - perhaps new songs or stages.
It will also pack in social features and will accomodate for your need to stop playing suddenly without losing progress.
It looks like the port will be on show at Tokyo Game Show, and will release during northern winter.
Rhythm Thief & The Emperor's Treasure first released on 3DS earlier this year.
