Rhode Island Congress to vote on whether to try to settle with 38 Studios

Kingdoms of Amalur developer 38 Sudios ran afoul of the state of Rhode Island by taking a $76 million loan years ago to move there and then being unable to pay it back; now 38 no longer exists, and the state has suit the former studio execs. Next week, Rhode Island's House of Representatives will vote on a bill which encourages settling with the studio remains.

The Rhode Island senate has approved the bill, which was introduced by governer Lincoln Chafee, and the House Judiciary Committee has pushed it through as well. The House vote is scheduled for Tuesday.
