Respawn is working on something entirely new - and not Titanfall related - for Oculus
Respawn, the development team behind the Titanfall games, are working on a new VR experience for Oculus.
The company has teased the new development on Twitter, after it was announced during the Oculus Connect event at which the Oculus Go was revealed. Whether or not the game will be designed for the Oculus Rift, or be able to run on the cheaper Go, is unclear.
In a follow-up tweet, Respawn made it clear that the project would not be Titanfall 3: VR.
The developer also released a video that perhaps sheds a bit more light on the sort of project it is working on.
It's very clearly a war game, although no name was given or footage shown. The team talks about how war has "been a part of human civilization from the beginning', and how they want to 'depict being a soldier in combat in a more realistic way' than they have been able to previously.
It sounds a bit more dour than Titanfall 2 was, with a greater focus on the 'visceral' side of combat.
The game is not slated for release until 2019, so it might be a while before we find out more about it.
