Resident Evil TV series in the planning stage

Resident Evil may be moving back to the small screen with talk of a new TV series based on the horror gaming franchise.
According to a Variety report, German production company Constantin Films is looking to take over the series after the final Resident Evil movie is released.
The movies are loosely based on Capcom's video game franchise, and have been very successful, grossing almost $1 billion in total since the release of the first film in 2002.
