Resident Evil Revelations 3 out within a year of Village's release, according to insider
A new Resident Evil Revelations is not too far off, according to reports.
Resident Evil Revelation, particularly the sequel, was always considered among the series' best off-shoots. According to new information from insiders, fans of Revelations will be getting a new game in the near future.
Dusk Golem, a Capcom insider with a good track record when it comes to Resident Evil in particular, has revealed on Twitter that the publisher has been working on a third Resident Evil Revelations for nearly four years.
According to them, the game will be released within a year from the upcoming Resident Evil Village, meaning later this year or early next year. Capcom, understandably, doesn't want to take the spotlight away from Village, so it won't be talking about it until that game is out. That said, Revelations 3 will likely be revealed sometime this year.
Dusk Golem points out, however, that it may not actually be called Resident Evil Revelations 3. The game is known internally as Resident Evil Outrage, and said to have a big budget on the level of Village, which could be why Capcom doesn't wanna associate it with Revelations.
Dusk Golem also suggested that, when it releases, the game will be exclusive to Switch for a period of time before arriving on other platforms. As for what to expect, they said it's on the same level of Code Veronica.
Though Dusk Golem's leaks have proven to be fairly on point in the past, it's best to take all unconfirmed rumours with a grain of salt for now. It's also worth noting that though the game does not appear in Capcom's recent major leak, it could be one of the projects referred to by their codenames.
