Resident Evil 7 collector's edition comes with a music box, the grossest USB drive ever
It's debatable whether the contents of the Resident Evil 7 collector's edition are worth collecting or not.
Capcom has revealed the contents of the expensive collector's edition for Resident Evil 7. This $180 premium version is exclusive to GameStop, and does come with a copy of the game.
All the included props are based on items and locations found in the game. Take for instance the dummy finger that's also a USB flash drive. It looks horrifying, but w'll no doubt make for a good prank.
The main event is a model replica of the Baker mansion, the house seen in all of the released footage. It's 8-inch tall and has a music box inside that plays the Aunt Rhody theme song.
Outside of that, you get a unique metal case for the game, a VHS tape box for the dummy finger, an exclusive lithograph of the Baker family, and a "creepy" note from one of the mansion's residents.
Here's everything it comes with and the promo image:
- Resident Evil 7 biohazard Base Game
- Mansion Music Box (8" tall) that plays a sample of Aunt Rhody with accompanying LED effects
- Dummy Finger 4GB USB drive
- Exclusive metal case
- VHS tape box
- Exclusive lithograph
- Creepy note
- Premium packaging
It's unclear at this stage if other retailers will have their own versions of the collector's edition.
Resident Evil 7 is out January 24 on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
