Resident Evil 5 to show new "Gears-like" controls at TGS

According to this Kotaku piece, Capcom producer Jun Takeuchi has confirmed that new controls for Resident Evil 5 are to be shown at Tokyo Game Show next month, which are apparently "Gears-like".
If true, the move would be a radical departure for the horror series, and comes after vocal criticism was levelled at the title post-E3 for being too similar to Resident Evil 4 in terms of control.
