Resident Evil 3 Remake officially announced, watch the first trailer

The Resident Evil 3 Remake is, to no one's surprise, very real.

Resident Evil 3 Remake, whose cover art had previously been leaked, was among the biggest reveals on today's State of Play presentation.

We got treated to an action-packed trailer that initially started outed as a demo for "the campaign portion" of Project Resistance, before it cut straight to full-on Resident Evil 3. Everyone is here, from Jill to Nemesis.

The reason for this unusual intro is that Resident Evil 3 Remake includes Resident Evil Resistance as part of the same package. Resistance is the 4v1 multiplayer mode previously known as Project Resistance.

The remake is running on Capcom's RE engine, the same engine that powers Resident Evil 2 Remake and Devil May Cry 5. Needless to say, it looks suitably terrifying.
