Report - Sony to inspect Geohot's computer HDD
According to a Wired report, PS3 hacker George "Geohot" Hotz must let Sony inspect his computer hard drive.
The order came down from US district court judge Susan Illston, who initially said that Hotz would need to retrieve information "that relates to the hacking of the PlayStation."
"It’s information. It can’t be retrieved. It’s just not practical," she said
She, however, retracted her comment, saying it was unreasonable and that she wasn't clear of the details from her previous order.
"This kind of got away from me and I apologize for that," Illston said.
Illstron ordered the attorneys of both Hotz and Sony to confer to with each other over where and when Hotz will let Sony look over the HDD, but the judge ordered Hotz not to delete or modify anything in connection to the PS3 jailbreak.
The case continues.
