Report - Need for Speed film due February 2014

Looks like Dreamworks wasn't kidding about pushing the Need for Speed movie out at a rapid pace; according to Deadline the adaptation is set to debut on February 7, 2014. The whole shebang only seems to have kicked off in April; compare and contrast with God of War, which has been in the works for seven years.
