Red Dead Redemption 2: Rockstar clarifies why your Ultimate Edition purchase on PS4 says Special Edition
Rockstar has posted an update about the issue some Red Dead Redemption 2 Ultimate Edition owners on PS4 have run into.
As you may know, Red Dead Redemption 2 has several special editions. The two most common ones are the Special, and Ultimate Editions.
Owners of the Ultimate Edition on PS4 noticed that the installed game says Special Edition, despite obviously forking out for the more expensive version. Considering the fact there are a few content differences between the two, Rockstar decided to clarify what's going on.
In a new support article, the developer said that while the install may read Special Edition, if you did buy the Ultimate Edition, you're going to receive Ultimate Edition content.
More specifically, these bonuses are linked to your profile, and seeing as some of them won't be available until Red Dead Online launches, you may not seem them immediately upon starting the game.
It's not clear what's causing this discrepancy in the first place, but it's good to know the content will be there.
