Red Dead Online adds new Public Enemy mode, and Railroad Baron free roam event

This week's Red Dead Online update adds a new Showdown mode called Public Enemy, and a new Free Roam Event which tasks you with capturing as many train cars as possible.

In the new Public Enemy Showdown Mode, each team in Red Dead Online will have a designated Public Enemy. The tagged enemy will rotate regularly to keep things interesting.

Killing the opposing team's Public Enemy will score points, but every kill they make is a point to the other side.

The new Free roam event, Railroad Baron, is a variation of King of the Castle. Here you will  fight to keep control of the active area on the train car for the longest amount of time.

Alongside new things to do are new things to wear. This includes the Bellrose hat featured in the screenshot showing a man who looks like Sam Elliott. Not that we're complaining in the slightest. It's just an observation.

The hat can be purchased from the Wheeler, Rawson and Co. catalogue, but all players who log in this week will receive the unique tint of the Bellerose Hat pictured above. The catalogue has also added the Flores Vest and remaining limited supplies of the Calhoun Boots, Raccoon Hat and Shaffer Chaps.
