ReCore becomes less of a mystery when Inafune talks about it

Keiji Inafune has given us a short introduction to Microsoft's new exclusive, ReCore.
We won't get everything we want out of this short interview, but we definitely know a lot more about the game's world and conflict.
For instance, the protagonist is called Jewel, and her robot buddy is called Mack. There are warring robot factions, the one Mack belongs to is trying to help get humans back to the planet. The "Core" mechanic is apparently a huge part of the game, seeing as how you can insert Mack's core into other robots.
The sandstorms seen in the reveal trailer affect the game's map.
Unfortunately, the interview does not mention the game's genre, or give away any gameplay details.
ReCore is slated for a 2016 release on Xbox One.
