GDC: Record attendance for GDC 2008

According to this, GDC attracted 18,000 visitors this year, a new record. The upswing in attendance has already fuelled talk from the organisers that press could be restricted next year.
"This year's conference not only exceeded our historical attendance record, but also surpassed expectations in terms of content quality and deal-making productivity," said GDC boss, Jamil Moledina.
