Rebellion teases February reveal for 2000 AD related PC title

Rebellion Developments has dropped a new teaser trailer with a definite whiff of 2000 AD around it.

"One man is utterly alone amidst the chaos of war. But there are worse things to fear than bombs and bullets here," the trailer's YouTube description reads.

"Debuting 14 February 2013, PC fans will soon get the chance to discover for themselves just what is in store for those brave enough to venture into the 'Totraum'. Heil Gotterdammerung."

Totraum translates from German as "deadspace", and Götterdämmerung is the title of the last opera in Wagner's ring cycle, and as such has been appropriated to refer to the apocalypse of German and Nordic mythology.

Viewers are urged to sign up for "priority one" updates on a 2000AD list manager page labelled "NZA".

I'd take short odds on Fiends of the Eastern Front, a WWII vampire series from 2000 AD, a venerable British sci-fi comic.

Rebellion Developments acquired 2000 AD over a decade ago, but has rarely capitalised on its licenses. It did recently produce a Judge Dredd vs Zombies mobile title, but its most recent triple-A release was Sniper Elite V2, the logo of which bares a marked similarity to the one shown at the end of the logo - an expansion or spin-off, perhaps?
