Ratchet and Clank: QForce PS Vita support and Competitive Mode detailed

Insomniac's Shaun McCabe has spilled the beans on the game's new features.

In a EU PS Blog post, McCabe detailed the Vita support and competitive mode.

The production director explained how Insomniac are working with Tin Giant, who will be bringing the game to Sony's handheld. Fear not, the title will feature full cross-play and cross-save support for those who like to play on the move.

In a showing of goodwill, whoever buys Ratchet and Clank: QForce for PS3 will be able to download the Vita version for free.

Player vs Player online battles will also feature, supporting up to four players in ranked or custom games. Matches will follow a number of phases.

First up is Recon phase where you are tasked with collecting nodes. Then Squad phase will force you to build bases and minions to attack with. You'll then head into Assault mode, where war will be waged on your opponent's defence. The first team to destroy all the enemy's generators grabs the win.
