Rare Bloodborne enemy found in the game for the first time since 2014 reveal
The Bloodborne community managed to come across an enemy that was once thought to have been cut from the game.
During his presentation at the PlayStation Experience in December, 2014, Bloodborne game director Hidetaka Miyazaki showed off a demo of the game's Chalice Dungeons mode.
Chalice Dungeons are procedurally-generated dungeons that are very challenging. The experience of each dungeon should be relatively unique to each player, with varying layout, enemies, bosses, items and so on. During the demo, we saw a giant with two blades for arms, one of which is flaming. This particular enemy looked quite different from the rest, but it went undiscovered for years.
Bloodborne's launch came and went, and the community never managed to see this enemy in the final build, so everyone assumed it was cut content. However, over the weekend, a group of players actually managed to find this enemy. It was based on a seed by player KolbrotKommander, and it was found in Depth 4 of the Cursed and Defiled Root Chalice.
Here's Moros Nyx's excellent video chronicling the whole thing (via ResetEra):
You can try it yourself by using the Glyph "pa6ssc6u." Although it may not be a boss, the sighting of this enemy that many years later proves that there could yet be other content that the randomly generated dungeons simply have yet to show us.
